With more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, he has built expertise across a wide range of disciplines, including system development, UI design, and project management. Leveraging extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience gained from years in development environments, he is responsible for driving and overseeing various projects at MOTO SMART, helping ensure their successful planning, execution, and delivery.

Currently serving as a PM Manager within the Development Department, he is responsible for system development, UI design, and project management. While leading and coordinating the development team, he focuses on delivering projects that emphasize practicality, usability, and speed of execution. With extensive expertise spanning both UI design and system development, he plays a vital role in the creation and advancement of MOTO SMART’s innovative services, making him an indispensable member of the organization’s development efforts.

Please tell us about your current responsibilities and role.

Currently serving as a PM Manager in the Development Department, I oversee the overall management and execution of system development and digital transformation (DX) projects. At MOTO SMART, we develop a wide range of systems and services designed to support vacation rental and hotel operations. My role involves coordinating the entire project lifecycle—from planning and development to implementation and ongoing operations—to ensure that each initiative is delivered efficiently and achieves its intended objectives.

In addition to these responsibilities, I am involved in a wide range of development-related activities. My role is not simply to build systems, but to oversee the entire development process with a strong focus on usability and real-world practicality. I constantly evaluate whether a solution is intuitive to use and whether it genuinely helps users in their day-to-day operations. I also work closely with Fujiwara’s business strategy team and the DX team led by Kobayashi, collaborating across departments to create services that are both highly practical and valuable. Through this cross-functional approach, we strive to develop solutions that effectively address real operational needs while supporting long-term business growth.

I have always been passionate about exploring new business models and emerging technologies. At MOTO SMART, we are leveraging AI, IoT, and Digital Transformation (DX) to create innovative hospitality management solutions that challenge conventional industry practices. In particular, I believe the “Management 2.0” model has tremendous potential to reshape the future of accommodation operations. By drawing on more than two decades of IT experience, I aim to develop systems that are not only innovative but also practical, user-friendly, and impactful. Through these efforts, I hope to contribute to the continued growth of MOTO SMART and help drive the next generation of hospitality management solutions.

Over the course of my 25-year career, I have witnessed countless changes in technology, development methodologies, and business models. One of the most important lessons I have learned is the value of embracing change rather than resisting it. I believe that by remaining open to new technologies, ideas, and ways of thinking, we can create better services and unlock new opportunities for innovation. Moving forward, I do not want to rely solely on past experience.
